Hello Again

So, here's the thing. I'm back. And for better reasons than I simply missed it. Since I'm here, I figured a clean slate will do the trick - so, here I am. I guess a little bit of a reintroduction is called for, right? 

Ah. Right. A quick sidenote: are you the kind of person who talks it out to themselves? Cause I totally do it, and most definitely just did it. But back to the reintroduction.

I'm Brooks. I figure since we're on a first name basis, the last name is kind of moot point, you know? I also happen to love the phrase "moot point". It's a perfect balance of soft and hard vowels - and man, are you learning so much about me already?

This blog has a lot of dreams and ideas behind it. Its thought is to be a mix of the personal side with the lettering side. Here you'll get to see a more than just a glimpse into a girl who's just trying to make a ripple in this big ole lake we call our world. (I also prefer lakes to oceans, so bear with me.)

I'm the letterer behind Script Theory - and while I'm always dreaming of what to letter next, I often struggle with a lot of the "but"s of acceptance. Okay, and a little bit of the "what if"s. So I usually fill my instagram and pinterest boards chock full of pretty inspirations and I let my hands do the talking while my inner sounding board takes a back seat. It also may be my not so good excuse as to why I haven't completely opened my Etsy shop yet. (Official launch date to be determined. Soon.)

And with that - I wish I could be cool enough to pull of the phrase "It's Brooks, bitch" while channeling the confidence of Britney Spears. But it'd probably be better if I settle for a see ya later or 'til next time. (Hopefully.)
